Backyard Golf Practice
One of the best things of done to help my golf swing is to make my backyard a home golf practice facility.
My set up consists of three golf mats and a synthetic putting green for competition and practice. We play a number of games, but have serious competition when time permits.
The 3 golf mats are the tee boxes set at 6,9, and 11 O’clock with the putting green at about 2 O’clock. The tee shots (from the mats) vary 25,30, and 35 yard.
We start by hitting Birdie balls off the mats. The Birdieballs are the best limited flight practice balls around. Because of the weight you feel the impact (unlike foam balls) and they will only go about 40-yards max.
OK , So we hit the Birdieballs of the the Tee Box Mats and then place a real golf ball in that spot. Hopefully, your on the green, but if not — it’s wonderful pressure packed practice for your touch wedge shots.
Once your on the putting green you putt Just like the real thing. With Tee Boxes and one Putting Green with 4 holes – you never play the same hole twice.
We’ve been playing this format of backyard golf for over two years and our current 9-hole is record is 3-under ( Jay & Sam). We’ve had two Aces (Sam and Curt). And best of all we’ve had a ton of fun while honing our short game and putting under pressure.

Here’s a Birdieball Review from a pro
The Birdieball is a great alternative to a golf ball for all areas of the game excluding putting. I have Birdieball in the Manatee County PE department curriculum and I use the Birdieball at my golf club for many golf situations. Juniors, Beginners and on the course lessons when fundamentals are taught and preserving the fairways is a concern. Birdieball turns any area into a golf facility due to the shorter distance Birdieball flies and the Birdieball strike plate protecting any surface football fields, baseball diamonds even parks & recreation areas remain intact, free from divots. The higher center of gravity the Birdieball has as compared to the smaller sphere of a golf ball has a greater ability to become airborne. The birdieball flies from the start, an extreme novice will have a blast with in moments of their first time hitting Birdieball. This alone creates a very rewarding golf experience and promotes continued development of solid golf fundamentals. Birdieball is the best alternative to a golf ball no need for miles of space and the birdieball will hook or slice so you do know if your swing is accurate. One more great feature about the Birdieball is that it will not break windows, ding cars or hurt if you happen to get hit with the polymer cylinder. My car was hit with a 30 yrd. shot and no damage to the car. I hit one at a window during an indoor demo and the crowed filled room jumped but sat down comfortably when they saw there was no possibility for the window to break.
Thanks for carying the Birdieball as one of your many great products. When I need more I will call.
